Is my existing GPS Locator compatible with Streets & Trips 2007?

We do have a 2006 Streets and Trips software and 2005 GPS. Wish to purchase 2007 Software, but should the GPS be replaced?

There should be no need to replace GPS as long as it works. There has been a standard output for these devices for quite a long time that is universal(NMEA, I think its called). I could probably use my 10 year old handheld gps with streets and trips 2007. According to a search you just need a NMEA 2.0 supported gps, which your 2005 model probably is
