Help setting up a wireless static IP?
Hello I’m having some trouble setting up static IP. I have everything from the IP to the DNS but the problem I’m having is with the wireless portion. The instructions I am using get me to the point of opening up my local area connection then changing all my info to the static IP but instead of going into local area i have to go in to wireless network connection. So when i do this I click properties and it pulls up my wireless connection properties. From here my instructions say all I have to do is hit properties again and all should be good but when I hit properties it pulls up a window with a tab that says "Name Service Provider" with the options of Windows locator or DCE Cell Directory Service which also gives the option of putting in a network address. Sorry if this is a little confusing. What do I do from here? The instructions I am using are here "http://portforward.com/networking/static-vista.htm" and I am up to step 9. Also I am using Windows Vista. Thanks for your help.

Put in DNS servers if you have them, click OK and all should be done…
