Recessions Are Great For MLM
The middle of a recession can be a great time to recruit and build huge teams. In hard times people get disillusioned with corporate America and begin thinking of alternatives. Amway and other network marketing companies had some of their biggest recruiting booms during the Jimmy Carter era of the late 1970’s. People who have been downsized or are threatened with being downsized start looking for a business of their own so they no longer have to be under someone’s thumb. Traditional businesses are usually too expensive to start up so network marketing becomes much more attractive. During hard economic times it become easier to recruit world class talent. Even lawyers and CPA’s can take an interest in network marketing during such times. Don’t be afraid to talk to professionals about this industry because it may actually be exactly what they are looking for.
